WHEN DAY COMES

When Day Comes was developed by Crossroads Theatre Company and Sweet Honey In The Rock. It was performed at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center in September 2021 as the inaugural piece of the Crossroads Festival Theatre.

When Day Comes is an exploration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the racial injustice in America, and the ties which bind people together told through poetry, dance and the acclaimed music of a cappella group Sweet Honey in the Rock. The piece was inspired by National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman's poem "The Hill We Climb".
